We couldn't be happier with the work carried out by GSM. They completely transformed our home by removing our old kitchen, knocking through the internal wall between the kitchen and dining room, carrying out all the associated building work, and installing our beautiful new Chatsworth Interiors kitchen.
From start to finish, the workmanship was outstanding. The attention to detail throughout the project was excellent, and the standard of finish has exceeded our expectations. The structural work was completed professionally, the installation is flawless, and everything was left clean and tidy at each stage.
A special mention has to go to Matt, who managed the project on site. He was fantastic throughout, always approachable, organised and incredibly hardworking. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he kept us informed every step of the way.
Whenever we had questions or wanted to make small changes, Matt took the time to discuss everything with us and made sure the finished result was exactly what we wanted. His pride in his work and commitment to delivering a high-quality finish really showed.

Garage converted to home office with bespoke media wall — couldn't ask for more
Gaz and his team have just completed a conversion of our garage into a home office/den. From our initial conversation throughout the project Gaz was great to deal with. I asked him to take care of the whole project — up to and including decorating. He managed all the organisation of his team and the sub-contractors required: plumbing, electricians, decorators etc. I had a very particular idea of what I wanted in a media wall as the centrepiece of the project. Gaz put me in touch with the perfect supplier who worked with me to design exactly what I wanted. Everyone he brought in did great work — neat, tidy and with great attention to detail for a superb finish. Gaz regularly visited himself to ensure things were on track, and otherwise kept me up to date regularly over the phone. It's clear that it was really important to Gaz that I was happy with things — both as they progressed and in the final outcome. I won't hesitate to call Gaz again and would happily recommend him to anyone who needs property work.
Load-bearing wall removed for open-plan kitchen-living — we absolutely love it
We needed to rearrange the ground floor of our new house to better suit our growing family. GSM construction took down a load bearing wall to create an open plan living family kitchen, and built up a partition wall to separate off a separate snug. We absolutely love it and are very happy with the finished result. Thank you!!!
Steel beam, tiling, plastering & joinery — all you need for building work
Gaz and team are all you need for all building works in your home! In my house they worked on areas such as a steel beam installation, tiling, plastering and joinery. Competitively priced, professional, tidy and friendly. Special mention to Matt, a true craftsman and a lovely guy. Would 100% recommend.
I recently used GSM Construction for some work on my home and couldn't be happier with the results. They knocked down an internal wall, plastered the kitchen, and fitted new patio doors — all completed to a really high standard. From start to finish, their communication was excellent. They kept me updated throughout the process and were always clear about what was happening and when. The team were very tidy and respectful of the space, which made a big difference while the work was going on. The quality of the workmanship is spot on — the plastering is smooth and flawless, the patio doors are fitted perfectly, and the finished space looks fantastic. On top of that, their pricing was very fair and affordable for the level of work delivered. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend GSM Construction and will definitely use them again for future projects.
Gaz, Nathan and Regan were very good — they managed to sort my roof putting in air vents and a dry ridge to allow ventilation and stop condensation. Can't recommend them highly enough.
Garage converted to office, gym and wet room — brilliant result
Gaz and his team recently converted my detached garage to create an office/gym space with loo and shower. It's always tricky to choose a builder, but I'm so glad I decided to go with GSM. Gaz himself was excellent. He kept me continually updated, letting me know when the lads would be onsite, sharing plans and progress. He checked in regularly via phone and dropped in for site checks and to chat face to face. He gave good advice when I needed to make 101 decisions without being pushy or impatient. When a window was ordered slightly incorrectly, he was open and transparent, quickly reordering without any pressure to accept the original one. All his lads were brilliant. The standard of their work is fantastic, and they were polite, accommodating and took a lot of care not to damage or create mess in the surrounding areas. Nathan led the day to day onsite and gave me complete confidence in his workmanship and that of the rest of the team. The plaster (sorry missed his name!) was also exceptionally good. They all took pride in their work and finished to a very high quality. The end result is fantastic, exactly what I wanted at a very reasonable cost. GSM will be my first call for any further work and I won't hesitate to recommend them to others. Thanks GSM!
1865 Victorian villa — new bedroom, period window & sympathetic restoration that looks original
GSM have recently helped me with a project of a 1865 built Victorian villa renovation. The aim was to reconfigure the upstairs to create a 4th bedroom with aid of a studded wall dividing a large bedroom. This was done with minimum mess and Gaz took care of everything sympathetically to keep to the integrity of the house. Sourcing materials in keeping with the Victorian era — matching door frames, doors, sash window, skirting, and specially cast coving — all done with a skilful eye and nothing was too much trouble. The most impressive work was creating a window to the front of the property, matching the existing stone carved sill and lintel. The way to gauge a good builder is for this old house to look as though they have never been here and that the window has been there since 1865. 100% achieved. My neighbours have all gone out of their way to give the lads a pat on the back. Everyone on this project were very polite and punctual, and a pre-agreed structured plan of works was always completed on time. Can't recommend these guys enough — I am already in discussions for further work.
Conservatory to warm roof extension, underfloor heating & new kitchen — very happy with our new space
They did a fantastic job turning our existing conservatory into a proper extension with a warm roof system and underfloor heating, then knocked through into the kitchen and installed the new kitchen for us. A professional job completed by a friendly and courteous team. We had a schedule of what work would be done when and we are very happy with our new space. Gaz kept us up to date throughout the process and we would not hesitate in recommending his company to anyone.
Full roof replacement — looks amazing, reliable and very reasonable price
Just replaced my mum's roof and it looks amazing. Really hardworking lads — reliable, trustworthy, kept us in the loop from beginning to end and very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
